3rd degree – severe deep burn affecting all layers of he skin
Burns are caused by dry heat, and scalds by moist heat (steam or liquids). Common causes of burns include heat of; fire, steam, hot objects or liquids, friction, eg rope burn, chemicals, eg acids, electricity, eg domestic, high voltage, radiation, eg sun, microwaves, sunlamps. Do not prick or break blisters, apply lotions, greases or antiseptics, over cool the patient, particularly if they are very young, or if burnt area is extensive, use towels, cotton wool, blankets, r adhesive dressings directly on the wound.
Cantharis
It has an affinity for urinary and sexual organs causing violent inflammation and causing frenzied delirium. Pains are cutting, smarting or burning. Discharges are bloody, acrid, watery & tenacious.
For the treatment of: 2nd and 3rd degree burns, Horribly painful burns > for cold application. Patient cannot remove the cold pack for an instant.
Given immediately, it can prevent he skin from blistering. Buns to mucous membranes, scalds to mouth and throat. For chemical burns and electrical cauterizations. Vesicuar eruptions to affected parts with burning and itching. Skin urns when touched. Serous effusions. Patients is agitated which necessitates constant motion. Prone to paroxysms of rage.
Urtica
Has an affinity for the mammary glands, genitor-urinary organs, liver and spleen. It produces stinging and burning pains. Ill effects of burns, bee-stings, eating shell fish, suppressed milk and urticaria.
For the treatment of: Minor burns, especially if the skin is unbroken and unblistered, burning with itching sensation. A remedy or scalds with hot or boiling water. Can be applied locally. Skin is red, raised and has red blotches, for prickly heat or nettle rash, burns and scalds of the first degree, < cool bathing, touch > rubbing, lying down.
