Wounds and Cuts - First Aid Remedies

A wound is a breaking the continuity of the tissues of the body. The wound may bleed internally or externally and/ or become infected. Homeopathy can speed healing and prevent infection, I can help in ways that standard treatment can't by helping to stop hemorrhage, reverse early gangrenous changes and control scarring.

Open wounds result in external bleeding such as abrasions, cuts, lacerations, tears, bites, penetrations, perforations and stabs.

Closed wounds are those that bleed internally such as contusions (bruises), sprains, strains, dislocations and closed fractures.

Stab and puncture wounds are caused by nails or sharp objects. Deep the wound open and allow it to bleed to help prevent tetanus. Clean thoroughly with Calendula/Hypericum tincture (1:5 dilution) followed by frequent sponging with Hydrogen Peroxide which acts as a strong disinfectant and will also help to clean out loose dirt. Do not try to pick out foreign material embedded in the wound. Do not attempt to remove a foreign body which is embedded in the wound as this may result in severe bleeding or may damage deep structures.
